MOSCOW, 12 September (BelTA) – The seventh international TV festival TEFI Commonwealth will take place in Minsk from 14 to 17 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund.
“TEFI Commonwealth is held annually in different CIS member states drawing together representatives of major TV channels of the CIS, Georgia, and the Baltic countries. The festival aims to develop a common information space, promote cooperation between TV companies and media and entertainment professionals of the CIS and the near abroad,” the press service said.
The festival's seventh edition is dedicated to documentary movies. Taking part in the competition this year are 20 works from 12 CIS and non-CIS states, namely documentaries from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. TEFI Commonwealth will kick off with an opening ceremony. Then the films submitted to the festival will be screened and discussed. The program also features panel discussions on the festival's topic, master classes and roundtable discussions on topical issues of TV and TV production, and an awards ceremony.
TEFI Commonwealth will be held in Minsk with the assistance of the Belarusian Information Ministry. The festival is organized by the Academy of Russian Television in cooperation with the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund.More about Society
