IRU awards managers of four Belarusian transport companies

MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Directors of four Belarusian transport companies were named IRU (International Road Transport Union) awards recipients. They received the awards at the 23rd exhibition of the Belarusian association of international road carriers BAMAP on 24 May, BelTA has learned.

According to the decision of the executive presidium of the International Road Transport Union, the IRU Awards 2018 went to four representatives of Belarus: Director General of Mogilevoblavtotrans Valery Vasilevsky, Director of Ostwesttranscar Vyacheslav Lozhechnik, Director of Tishchenko Company Alexander Tishchenko and Director of Vitmagistral Alexander Shakuro.

The IRU Top Road Transport Manager award was instituted in 2010 to honor top managers of road transport companies for their excellence and professionalism in providing innovative solutions to enhance environmental protection, road safety and productivity. This year, the winners were 98 executives from 15 countries. This year the IRU Awards were bestowed upon 98 managers from 15 countries.

The National Library of Belarus is hosting the 23rd exhibition of the Belarusian association of international road carriers BAMAP on 24-25 May. The exhibition includes a conference on efficiency and quality of international road transport services. The participants of the meeting discuss the advantages of legislative novelties, analyze practical aspects of simplifying activities and enhancing their efficiency, changes in public-private cooperation. The conference also focuses on the implementation of electronic technology in transport, simplification of border crossing and cooperation with participants of the international logistics market.
