GRODNO, 30 June (BelTA) – Grodno Oblast of Belarus and China's Gansu Province find new points of contact and actively develop interregional cooperation, Wang Sanyun, Secretary of the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, said as he met with Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Kravtsov on 30 June, BelTA has learned.
A delegation of China's Gansu Province is currently in Grodno Oblast on a visit. “The main purpose of our visit is to step up and enhance practical cooperation. I would like to thank the Grodno Oblast authorities for the great attention they pay to the development of the bilateral relations and the support they give to our initiatives. We value our reliable friendship,” Wang Sanyun noted. He emphasized that the parties are actively moving towards practical implementation of the previously signed agreements. Wang Sanyun emphasized that the regions have great potential for cooperation in economy, culture and education.
Next week, Vladimir Kravtsov will take part in an international expo in the city of Lanzhou. On 30 June, Grodno Oblast authorities also received an invitation to attend an international cultural forum in Gansu Province in September 2016.
