Call to remove external management for enterprises under Ukraine's jurisdiction in Donbass

MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – The external management for enterprises under Ukraine's jurisdiction operating in Donbass causes considerable economic damage, OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik told the media on 14 February, BelTA has learned.

According to Martin Sajdik, “the introduction of the so-called “external management” for enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction operating in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and the ban on trade across the contact line have caused significant economic damage to entire Ukraine, including the population of Donbass.”

The diplomat called upon all the parties to the conflict to show realism and the appropriate political will to abolish these decisions. Martin Sajdik stressed that they “have a very negative impact on the standard of living of the population.”

The regime of external management for the enterprises with Ukrainian jurisdiction operating on the territory of certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions was introduced in March 2017.
