MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) – Investments in young people will pay off in spades, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Andrei Belyakov told BelTA as he commented on the results of the 5th Belarusian People's Congress he attended as a delegate.
Andrei Belyakov noted that the support for young people is among the key priorities indicated in the program for Belarus' social and economic development in 2016-2020. “The resources that will be spent on youth will pay off in spades, because these are long-term investments in the future of our country,” the BRSM First Secretary pointed out.
“The head of state outlined in his speech major guidelines for supporting young people. Alexander Lukashenko emphasized the central role of the BRSM Youth Union in this work. And this is not by chance, since today BRSM unites hundreds of thousands of enterprising young people who love Belarus and who strongly believe that their personal fulfillment and the wellbeing of their families are inextricably connected with the country's prosperity,” Andrei Belyakov noted.
He expressed confidence that those young Belarusians who attended the Congress and those who followed the forum in the media or on the Internet have been inspired to join the front ranks of those who work hard to promote the country's development.More about Society
