MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) – Belarus' Belgeodesy and Russia's Roscartography signed an agreement on cooperation in the area of geodesy, cartography and spatial data in Minsk on 20 April, BelTA learned from the State Property Committee of Belarus.
The document is aimed at expanding the exchange of experience between the parties and implementing new projects in geodesic and cartographic activities. The document will promote the efficient use and improvement of the sci-tech and manufacturing potential, intensify relations between the companies in the sci-tech area, the State Property Committee said.
Specialists of the two companies will exchange the best practices and technologies of carrying out geodesic and cartographic activities, cooperate in the implementation of contract and subcontracted works, joint projects, the exchange of information related to the legislation and other normative, technical and guidance documents regulating the area.
The agreement was signed during the international sci-tech conference “Geodesy, cartography and navigation are modern approaches to forming and using geospatial data”. The event held in Minsk on 19-20 April was attended by geodesists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
