MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian air carrier Belavia is considering the possibility of launching flights to Ukraine's Kherson or Nikolaev, Belavia Director General Anatoly Gusarov told the media ahead of the wrap-up session of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry on 9 February, BelTA has learned.
“We are exploring the flights to Ukraine. We wanted to fly to Dnepropetrovsk but they would not let us in. Now we are considering flying to Kherson and Nikolaev, probably during the summer season,” Anatoly Gusarov remarked.
Belavia is not likely to launch such air service this year, he added. “All the plans have already been made. There is an interest for another year, however,” Anatoly Gusarov emphasized. The company may start operating flights either to Kherson or Nikolaev.
Belavia is Belarus' largest air carrier performing regular flights to 49 airports in 28 European and Asian countries. The company's fleet includes 26 aircraft (five Boeing 737-800 jets, six Boeing 737-500, seven Boeing 737-300, two Embraer-175, two Embraer-195, four jets CRJ-100/-200).
