MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) – Demand has increased for flights to Montenegro and Bulgaria this year and declined for Turkish and Greek routes, Belavia Director General Anatoly Gusarov told media on 5 May, BelTA has learned.
“This year we see a decrease in demand for some routes, first of all, Turkey and Greece. At the same time the demand for Montenegro, Bulgaria and other destinations has been on the rise. On the whole we do not feel any cardinal changes on the market. The situation is relatively stable and even. We are doing our best to satisfy the demand of Belarusians for holiday flights,” noted Anatoly Gusarov.
This summer Belavia plans to launch flights to Lithuania's Palanga. “We are confident that this destination will be in demand. This Baltic resort enjoys great popularity,” the Belavia Director General. As for charter programs, this year tourists will be able to fly to Canary Islands (Spain) from Minsk.
Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus by the number of passengers and cargoes it transports. In January 2014 the Belarusian airline acquired a legal status of an open joint stock company.
