MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) – Belarusian school students won five medals at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 16 to 24 July.
The Belarusians collected two silver and three bronze medals.
Graduate of Brest Lyceum No. 1 Nikita Ignatiuk and graduate of Minsk Gymnasium No. 10 Yevgeny Sharamed won silver medals.
Graduate of Brest Lyceum No. 1 Pavel Kurach, graduate of the Lyceum of Belarusian State University Nikita Strizhak, and graduate of Mogilev State Oblast Lyceum No. 3 Valentin Dorofeyev scored bronze medals.
The Belarusian team was led by Anatoly Slobodyaniuk and Leonid Markovich, tutors of Belarusian State University and its lyceum.
