MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – An experiment will be staged on 12 April to test whether border control and customs control procedures can be successfully performed at the Minsk Pasazyrski railway station for passengers of the Minsk-Vilnius train and the Vilnius-Minsk train, the press service of Belarusian Railways told BelTA.
In a bid to optimize border control and customs control procedures, the experiment will be staged on 12 April 2017. The border control and customs control procedures will be performed by the relevant personnel before the Minsk-Vilnius train departs and after the Vilnius-Minsk train arrives. The train will travel from Minsk to Vilnius and back without stopping at the railway stations Molodechno and Gudogai.
Belarusian Railways pointed out that passengers will be invited to board the Minsk-Vilnius train from 7:15 till 7:45. The train will leave the station at 8:00. Between 7:15 and 8:00 personnel of the customs and border services will perform the necessary control functions. Customs and border procedures will also be performed after the Vilnius-Minsk train arrives at the Minsk Pasazyrski railway station (21:40).
Access to trains at the Minsk Pasazyrski railway station will be restricted for people without travel documents.
