MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela Oleg Paferov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez on 20 March, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Caracas.
The parties discussed bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Venezuela in the political, trade and economic sectors and talked over the prospects of developing contacts in these areas. The meeting also highlighted the issues related to the implementation of joint Belarusian-Venezuelan projects.
This year Belarus and Venezuela are celebrating 20 years of diplomatic relations. The agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed at the UN headquarters on 4 February 1997. The implementation of the document started in 2006.
