MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – There are plans to develop and launch the production of medical simulation equipment in Belarus. A joint Belarus-Tatarstan company will be set up as part of an agreement that was signed by Healthcare Ministers of Belarus and Tatarstan (Russian Federation) Valery Malashko and Adel Vafin on 24 July, BelTA has learned.
“The simulation equipment project has already been discussed for some time. We offered the Republic of Tatarstan a partner who produces medical equipment and possesses the necessary technology. I believe this experience will produce good results,” said Valery Malashko.
According to the minister, simulation equipment offers clinicians and nurses the most realistic hands-on experience in medical training. Moreover, it is useful for skill assessment of medical workers.
The joint Belarus-Tatarstan project will enhance the level of professional training and retraining of physicians both in Belarus and Tatarstan, Adel Vafin said. It is the next step in using cutting-edge technologies in medical education.
It is expected that the first simulators will be produced in 2018. The product is competitive and will be in demand, including on the European market.
The Republic of Tatarstan implements modern approaches to training clinicians, enhancing their qualifications with the use of simulators in minimally invasive surgery, traumatology, orthopedy and other areas.
