Belarus, Russia working on network university of high technologies

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are working on a network university of high technologies, Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov said at the expert and mass media forum “Union State. Scientific breakthrough”, BelTA has learned.

“The Union State has a need for qualified personnel capable of working on new tasks. I would like to note that together with my colleagues, including Andrei Ivanovich [Ivanets, Education Minister of Belarus], we are working on a network university of high technologies in the Union State. It will be a platform for personnel training and will make it possible to strengthen the educational component in the Union State through joint programs,” Valery Falkov said.

Special attention in the Union State space is paid to the establishment of direct contacts between scientific organizations and universities. Over 600 cooperation agreements between Russian and Belarusian universities were signed in 2023. The projects such as Summer University, Winter University, and Advanced Engineering Schools develop creative potential, advanced competencies, and sustainable links between youth communities.

According to State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Dmitry Mezentsev, the network university will be located in Minsk.
