Belarus, Pakistan invited to intensify student, teacher exchange

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Pakistan should intensify student and teacher exchanges, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Pakistan Mian Raza Rabbani said as he met with the academic staff and students of the Belarusian State University on 3 February, BelTA has learned.

“We hope for fruitful and considerable expansion of cooperation between our countries. I am confident that we need to intensify our student exchange programs, develop and expand our teacher exchange programs,” said Mian Raza Rabbani.

The Chairman of the Senate also spoke about the role of young people. Sixty percent of the population in Pakistan is people under 30. The young generation will build the future of their countries. The duty of the older generation is to cooperate with the youth, share experience. According to Mian Raza Rabbani, the authorities of the two countries are well aware of the existing huge potential for the development of mutual relations.

However, for long-term, productive and sustainable relations, the countries need to secure stable cooperation between young people.

Mian Raza Rabbani invited Belarusian students and teachers to visit Pakistan.

Mian Raza Rabbani also signed the Distinguished Guests Book.
