Belarus' National Academy of Sciences launches Doors Open Days

MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) – The Doors Open Days were launched at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) on 9 January.

“The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus announced Doors Open Days to mark the Day of Belarusian Science and the start of the 2017 Year of Science. From 9 January to 10 February the Doors Open Days program will give a unique insight into the Museum of the History of the NASB and the exhibition Achievements of the Belarusian Science into Manufacturing Projects and also provide an opportunity to see the archeological exposition of the Institute of History and the Museum of Old Belarusian Culture, the Research Center of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature,” the press service said.

Opening their doors will also be NASB scientific institutions in Minsk and other Belarusian cities, including Brest, Grodno and Gomel.

The Museum of the History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is a historical memorial of the Belarusian supreme scientific organization, the National Academy of Sciences, and also a cultural and educational establishment. The area of nearly 250 square meters features more than 3,500 exhibits which tell the story of the Belarusian science, creation and development of scientific areas, the activity of scientific subdivisions and institutions of the country, the establishment of academic scientific schools in natural, technical, medical and humanitarian sciences, achievements of Belarusian scientists, and international scientific relations.
