Belarus, Kazakhstan strengthen cooperation in IT, digital development

MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Kazakhstan discussed the possibility of applying innovations of some advanced IT solutions, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Communications and Informatization Ministry.

Belarusian Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan met with Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin in Astana. The parties considered issues related to the development and strengthening of cooperation in information technologies, digital development and innovations between the two countries.

The parties discussed the possibility of using innovations of a number of advanced IT solutions covering public administration in Kazakhstan to solve the problems of e-government development and digitalization of public administration in Belarus. This includes Belarus’ adoption of Kazakhstan's experience in identifying users of state services through QR-signing, introduction of the Smart Bridge platform and super-application kaspi.kz, as well as the data catalogue on the e-government portal and the digital service National Reference Information.

“Thanks to the implementation of the Digital Government project, every citizen will be able to save their time in getting the corresponding services. Belarus has established the Digital Development center that is implementing the project. Constructive and well-coordinated interaction between our countries will be exemplary and will demonstrate how cooperation leads to better implementation of projects in our countries,” said Konstantin Shulgan.

Both ministers expressed readiness to expand cooperation and exchange experience in digitalization of economy and society, which opens new prospects  for innovative development of both countries.
