MOSCOW, 21 August (BelTA) – The 12th Union State festival of arts for young talents is taking place in Anapa on 20-24 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State.
Taking part in the event are about 140 children aged 7-18 from Belarus and Russia. These are singing, dancing, circus and instrumental bands and also soloists. The program of the festival includes concerts, meetings with art figures of Belarus and Russia, quizzes and master classes.
The festival will be attended by MPs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State: Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Education, Culture and Science of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Alexander Segodnik and member of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Construction of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Yelena Afanasyeva. The MPs will visit the opening and closing ceremonies of the festival, hold meetings with representatives of the administration of Anapa.
The Union State festival of arts for young talents is an annual event that was first held in 2005. The event is founded and organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State, the Union State Permanent Committee, the culture ministries of Belarus and Russia.
