MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is confident that personnel of the State Border Committee of Belarus will do their best, use their experience and skills to ensure stability and order at the state border. The relevant statement was made by the head of state in the congratulation sent to the Belarusian border service on the occasion of the 100th anniversary since the Belarusian border guard was established. The congratulatory message was read out by State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas during the solemn assembly held on the occasion of the anniversary in the Palace of the Republic on 25 May, BelTA has learned.
The congratulation reads: “The history of the border guardians is a bright and heroic page in the chronicles of our country. We take pride in the deeds committed by the border guards and bow low to the memory of those, who gave their lives in the name of the fatherland.”
The head of state noted that the current generation of the border guard honors and enriches traditions of their predecessors. “Alert and professional, you fend off modern challenges and threats to border security and take all the necessary measures to protect our borders,” stated the president.
Alexander Lukashenko is confident that the Belarusian border guard personnel will live up to the trust the Belarusian nation gives them and will use their strength, experience, and mastery to ensure stability and order at the state border.
