Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Vietnam

MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The Republic of Belarus is ready to continue bilateral cooperation across the board, first of all, in the economic and political dimensions. Only by joint efforts we managed utilize the potential of the Belarusian-Vietnamese interaction in full, advance our relations to the level of strategic partnership,” the message of greetings addressed to the Vietnamese president reads.

Alexander Lukashenko also praised the positive dynamics of economic development and wellbeing of Vietnamese people, the strengthening of the country's authority as an influential state on the international arena.

In a message of greetings addressed to the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam the head of state stressed that the Belarusian-Vietnamese relations rely on the traditions of friendship, mutual support and respect. “Relying on this solid foundation we will be able to reach position results in sync with the long-term interests of bilateral cooperation in the economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other fields,” the Belarusian leader added.
