MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to People's Artist of the USSR Edita Piekha, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Thanks to your bright personality and sincere love for music, you have millions of fans, and your songs have been included in the golden fund of Soviet and Russian popular music,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state remarked that Edita Piekha is appreciated as a talented and charming singer with impeccable musical taste and great performance skills.
“I am convinced that your creative work will remain a source of good mood for people, will help promote friendship in culture and art between our countries,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
