Lukashenko expresses condolences to Kyrgyzstan President

MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed condolences to Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“It is with deep pain and sorrow that people in Belarus have learned the news about the tragic events on 27 August 2016 which claimed lives of Kyrgyzstan people. In this difficult period I express sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims on behalf of the Belarusian people and myself,” the message of condolences reads.

BelTA reported earlier that a day of mourning was announced in Kyrgyzstan on 29 August. Two tragic events happened virtually at the same time on 27 August. Fourteen citizens of Kyrgyzstan died in a fire in Moscow, nine people were killed in a car accident in the Bishkek-Osh motorway.
