MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – The construction of the Olympic Training Center for Rhythmic Gymnastics in Minsk should be completed by March 2018, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said during Belarus National Clean-Up Day on 22 April, BelTA has learned.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is working on the construction site of the Olympic Training Center for Rhythmic Gymnastics during the National Clean-Up Day. Before starting work, the head of state was briefed on the progress in the construction. The initial project of the center was frozen and was later replaced with a more economical option with the use of computer modeling of the building.
As the president was informed, this is the most optimal option. The project provides for everything needed to train athletes in rhythmic gymnastics.
“Everything should be functional. Nothing superfluous,” the president said.
The monolithic frames of the first and second floors of the center have been completed. Work is underway on the monolithic frame of the third floor, brickwork of the first and second floors, assembling of steel structures, the roof of the second and third floors, and engineering networks. Total construction readiness of the facility is 20%.
The head of state is working as part of the team constructing cement floors in the choreography halls.
