MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has extended greetings to President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party Raul Castro Ruz and the Cuban people as the country celebrates National Revolution Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
“Cuba continues its complicated but independent development, resting on the ideas of Fidel Castro and the high principles of the Cuban Revolution. The relations of our countries are based on mutual trust and support, while constructive bilateral partnership has great prospects,” the head of state noted.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that joint efforts to intensify the Belarusian-Cuban trade, economic and sci-tech cooperation fully meets the strategic interests of the two states.
