MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has approved the report of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) for 2017. The head of state has signed a corresponding decree, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The report was prepared in accordance with Article 46 of the Banking Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The implementation of the monetary policy in 2017 helped slow down the inflation processes, ensure the macroeconomic and financial stability, raise the gold and foreign exchange reserves, keep high returns on national currency savings, make loans in Belarusian rubles more affordable. Safe, sustainable, and efficient operation of the banking sector has been ensured.
