MOSCOW, 14 June (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Moscow where he will attend, on the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the 2018 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony and first match, BelTA has learned.
In the airport, the Belarusian head of state was welcomed by officials and also by Zabivaka the Wolf, the official mascot of the current championship. Alexander Lukashenko played some football with Zabivaka and signed a football wishing “good luck to the Russian brothers”.

As it was reported, the Russian capital will host a number of foreign leaders for the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony. The FIFA World Cup will be held in 11 Russian cities from 14 June to 15 July.
