Belarus, Egypt sign ten documents to advance cooperation in various spheres

CAIRO, 15 January (BelTA) – As a result of negotiations between the two heads of state on 15 January Belarus and Egypt signed ten documents on advancing cooperation in various spheres, BelTA has learned.

In particular, Alexander Lukashenko and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi signed a joint declaration, which underscores the mutual desire to bolster Belarusian-Egyptian relations.

As a result of the talks the sides signed a memorandum of understanding between the culture ministries, a memorandum on cooperation in agriculture, a memorandum of understanding in military and technical cooperation, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the protection and rational use of water resources, and a memorandum on environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, and climate change.

Apart from that, a roadmap was signed to implement the memorandum on cooperation between Minsk Oblast and South Sinai in trade, economic, social, and cultural affairs. The sides also signed an agreement on extradition and an agreement on mutual legal aid in civil and economic cases, and an agreement on cooperation in physical training and sport.
