MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) - The working groups of the trilateral contact group promoting peace settlement in Ukraine have resumed talks in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Twitter account of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Minsk is hosting a meeting of the working groups of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine,” the ministry informed.
The previous meeting of the trilateral contact group was held in the Belarusian capital on 2 August. The parties coordinated a number of positions on the list of the persons detained as a result of the conflict. It was also noted at the meeting that the situation with water supplies at some districts of Lugansk Oblast had partially stabilized.
The working group on security continued talks on providing security of the vital civil infrastructure. Progress was also made in the discussion of the list of new zones for the withdrawal of forces and weaponry. The discussions in the working group on political matters on the so-called Steinmeier formula were unsuccessful.More about Politics
