Wiktorin: Great progress in EU-Belarus cooperation

MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Great progress has been made in the cooperation between the EU and Belarus, Head of the EU Delegation in Belarus Andrea Wiktorin told the media, BelTA has learned.

“With regard to cooperation between the EU and Belarus, we have seen the significant progress. Step by step we have been improving the relations,” Andrea Wiktorin said.

When asked about visa facilitation, she said that the work is well underway. “The first round of talks was held in Brussels. The second one is due to take place in Minsk. I am confident we will be able to address all the issues,” Head of the European Union Delegation to Belarus added.

On 22 May Andrea Wiktorin attended the meeting of the Bureau of the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities for the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP) in Minsk. In CORLEAP Belarus represents the Council for Cooperation of Local Self-Government Bodies at the upper house of the parliament.
