Union State MPs to review progress towards common information space on 28 March

MOSCOW, 24 March (BelTA) – The development of the common information space of the Belarus-Russia Union State will be high on the agenda of the session of the information policy commission of the Belarus-Russia Union State Parliamentary Assembly to be held on 28 March, BelTA learned from the PA press service.

The commission will review the progress in the priority areas and goals of the further development of the Union State in the medium term in the context of the effort to create a common information space of Russia and Belarus.

The MPs will hear a report on the activity of the Union State mass media in 2016. The MPs and Nikolai Yefimovich, chairman of the TV and Radio Broadcasting Organization of the Union State, will visit the company's office in Belarus to discuss ways to develop the company.

Attending the session will be representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, Belarus Information Ministry, the Ministry of Communication and Mass Media of Russia, the supervisory authorities of the two countries, and the heads of the Union State mass media outlets.
