Union State MPs to discuss social support for youth

MOSCOW, 23 May (BelTA) – The Commission for Social Policy, Science, Culture and Humanitarian Activities of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will hold its meeting in Mogilev on 1 June, BelTA learned from the PA press service.

The participants of the event will consider priority areas of the youth policy in the Union State, issues related to the state social support for young people, the youth rights to work and the work with socially vulnerable categories of people and also discuss the role of public associations in the work with the rising generation.

While in Mogilev, the PA delegation plans to meet with Mogilev Oblast Governor Vladimir Domanevsky and Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Council of Deputies Irina Rainchik.

The participants of the meeting also plan to visit a number of social facilities, including the Orlovsky Mogilev State Professional Agro-Forestry College, SOS-Children's Village Mogilev, and a subsidiary of the Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Invited to take part in the event are representatives of the Union State Permanent Committee, the Education Ministry of Belarus the Ministries of Education and Science of Russia, the ministries of labor and social security of the two countries, and also the government bodies of Mogilev Oblast and public organizations.
