Supreme State Council of Union State to convene for session soon

MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – The Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State is expected to convene for a meeting soon, spokesperson for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told the media on 23 March, BelTA has learned.

“The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Russia are coordinating the preparations for the meeting of the Supreme State Council. Almost all the issues on the agenda have been prepared for consideration. The parties are considering the date for the meeting. We expect it will take place in the near future,” said the official representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In his words, Grodno will host the meeting of the Belarus-Russia interstate ministerial working group on migration policy on 5-7 April. “We hope the meeting will help us make progress in some issues of mutual concern,” Dmitry Mironchik said.
