MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Speculations about the threatening nature of the joint Belarusian-Russian military exercise Zapad 2017 are groundless, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told the media on 19 May, BelTA has learned.
Vladimir Makei told reporters that he sees various speculations on this topic as having no merit.
The minister stressed that sovereignty and independence are sacred things for Belarus. This is what the head of state has repeatedly stressed.
