Pirshtuk: Belarusian delegation treated warmly during OSCE PA session in Vienna

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – There was a warm attitude towards the Belarusian delegation during the winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna, Boleslav Pirshtuk, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, told reporters after the visit, BelTA has learned.

In Austria the Belarusian delegation met with OSCE PA President Christine Muttonen and OSCE PA Secretary General Roberto Montella, representatives of the parliaments of different countries. “The Belarusian delegation was received in a warm and friendly manner at all levels,” he said. According to him, the reports on the topics related to Belarus and the situation around the country were quite positive. Belarus was praised as a good venue for peace talks.

The winter meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was held in Vienna on 23-24 February. The Belarusian delegation was composed of Boleslav Pirshtuk, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Valery Voronetsky, the Chairman of the Permanent Commission for International Affairs of the House of Representatives, and Sergei Rakhmanov, Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic of Belarus' National Assembly for Foreign Affairs and National Security.
