Peter Szijjarto: Great progress in Belarusian-Hungarian cooperation over 25 years

MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Hungarian ties have grown stronger over the past 25 years, Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Peter Szijjarto said in his message of greetings to Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Belarus has become an important trading partner for Hungary, Peter Szijjarto said. The exchange of visits has given a powerful impetus to the bilateral political relations. For example, during Vladimir Makei's visit to Hungary, the parties agreed to further strengthen the cooperation in trade, investment, tourism and culture.

In a message to his Hungarian counterpart, the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that Belarus and Hungary have established a solid legal basis for cooperation. The two countries actively collaborate in international organizations. The foreign ministries of the two countries maintain a results-driven dialogue. Vladimir Makei said that the Hungarian diplomacy's position regarding the Belarusian-EU cooperation is consistent and sincere. He expressed confidence that the relations between Belarus and Hungary will continue to grow stronger.
