LYASKOVICHI, 26 April (BelTA) – The Minsk agreement is the only plan towards peace and stability in Ukraine, Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko said during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.
The Ukrainian president said that the agreement developed in Minsk became the basis of the principles to settle the conflict in the east of Ukraine. “Today they are the only plan towards peace and stability in Ukraine,” the president said.
Petro Poroshenko thanked Belarus for its peacemaking efforts and expressed hope for a prompt settlement of the conflict.
