Iceland's ambassador back in Belarus after 10-year hiatus

MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – The ambassador of Iceland was accredited in Belarus for the first time in over ten years, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iceland to Belarus Berglind Asgeirsdottir on the occasion of the beginning of her diplomatic mission in Belarus.

The sides exchanged views on the promising avenues of Belarus-Iceland cooperation. Ambassador Berglind Asgeirsdottir also presented copies of her credentials to Oleg Kravchenko.
