Election 2015. Over 900 foreign observers monitoring president election in Belarus

MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Over 900 foreign observers are taking part in the monitoring of the 11 October presidential election in Belarus, BelTA informs.

International observers represent the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), election commissions of other states, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), including the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (CIS IPA), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Apart from that, representatives of the diplomat corps and independent observers have been accredited to monitor Belarus' main electoral event.

Over 37,000 national observers have been accredited in the country. These are individuals, representatives of labor collectives, political parties and public associations.
