MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – The next session of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine will take place in Minsk on 27 June, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik on 13 June.
Martin Sajdik mentioned several results of today's negotiations. The subgroup on economic affairs continued discussing further steps on restoring and improving Vodafone Ukraine mobile communication service in certain parts of Donetsk Oblast and Lugansk Oblast. It was noted that time and considerable technical investments are needed to restore full-value quality communications. Apart from that, the subgroup on economic affairs discussed water supply matters.
The subgroup on humanitarian affairs continued discussing the exchange of prisoners of war and their accommodation conditions as well as search for missing persons. Allowing civilians to more easily cross the contact line, including in Stanitsa Luganskaya, was an important part of the discussion.
The subgroup on political affairs continued discussing the implementation of the so-called Steinmeier formula, the amnesty, and the modality of municipal elections in certain parts of Donetsk Oblast and Lugansk Oblast.
