SOCHI, 10 October (BelTA) – A meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council is running in the Rus health resort in Sochi, Russia, BelTA has learned.
The CIS foreign ministers are expected to discuss a set of organizational and practical measures to adjust the CIS to the current realities with a view to increasing the efficiency of the CIS charter and sectoral bodies' activities.
The CIS foreign ministries are also set to discuss the draft documents which will be submitted for consideration to the CIS Heads of State Council on 11 October. These documents include the draft statements on supporting families and traditional family values, the concept of cooperation in countering corruption and the document on the upgrade of the CIS joint air defense system to meet the challenges of aerospace defense.
