Belarus, UK's Wales discuss prospects for trade, economic, interregional cooperation

MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarus and UK's Wales discussed prospects for trade, economic and interregional cooperation during the working visit of Sergei Aleinik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to the Welsh capital of Cardiff, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In Cardiff, Sergei Aleinik met with First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones, Deputy Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales Ann Jones, Lord Mayor of Cardiff Monica Walsh, and President of South Wales Chamber of Commerce Liz Maher. The Belarusian diplomat also visited Cardiff University.

During the meetings, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of trade, economic, and interregional cooperation between Belarus and Wales, and considered a number of areas of interaction and promising cooperation projects.
