Belarus ready to extend every possible assistance to population in conflict zone in Ukraine

MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to extend every possible assistance to Ukraine to help the civilian population in the conflict zone, Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said during the 24th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Vladimir Makei participated in several thematic events held on the sidelines of the Ministerial Council meeting. These included the discussions on the protection of civilians in the east of Ukraine and interconnectedness, trade and economic integration in the European and Eurasian space.

“During the meeting on Ukraine the minister emphasized Belarus' readiness to continue hosting the talks to promote peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Belarus is also ready to extend every possible assistance to help improve the situation of the civil population in the conflict zone, including humanitarian assistance for both the sides of the conflict line,” the ministry said.
