Belarus Parliament to set up working groups for cooperation with Egypt, Sudan

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The working groups on cooperation with the parliaments of Egypt and Sudan will be set up in the National Assembly of Belarus. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives on 19 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the parliament.

“The council made a decision to set up working groups on cooperation with the parliaments of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of the Sudan,” the press service informed.

The Council of the House of Representatives also supported the proposals to hold visiting sessions of the permanent commission on housing policy and construction, the commission on industry, fuel and energy complex, transport and communications, and the commission on education, culture and science in May 2017.

The National Assembly of the sixth convocation has 70 working groups on cooperation with parliaments of foreign countries, two inter-parliamentary commissions for cooperation with the National Assembly of Armenia and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and 13 delegations to work with international organizations.
