MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – Belarus has received no official notification of intent to introduce biometric border control from Ukraine yet, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing on 13 July, BelTA has learned.
“Let us wait for official information from the Ukrainian side and, if this happens, then start being concerned. As of today, we have received no official notification. Therefore, I believe it is premature to give any comments,” Dmitry Mironchik said.
He noted that no plans to introduce biometric control on the border with Ukraine have been discussed at the diplomatic level. “It would be premature at the moment to make any speculations or get concerned,” Dmitry Mironchik added.
