Belarus, Latvia discuss ways to bolster political, trade, economic cooperation

MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Latvia have discuss the ways to bolster political, trade, and economic cooperation during the ministerial consultations which were held at the level of deputy ministers of foreign affairs in Minsk on 27 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna, the Latvian delegation – by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrejs Pildegovics.

“During the consultations the sides discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, including the prospects and ways to expand political, trade, economic, and transit cooperation, the implementation of joint investment projects,” the press release of the press service reads.

The meeting also focused on the enhancement of the bilateral legal framework, the Belarus-EU dialogue, and the intensification of contacts in international organizations.
