Belarus, Jordan confirm readiness for active high-level political dialogue

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Jordan confirm readiness to intensify high-level political dialogue. The statement was made at a meeting of Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko with Ambassador of Jordan to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Amjad Odeh Adaileh to receive the copies of his credentials on 25 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties reaffirmed the interest and readiness to intensify political dialogue on a high level and agreed with the need for further strengthening of the legal framework of bilateral relations. The parties also agreed to continue work on coordinating the date for a meeting of the joint Belarus-Jordan commission on trade and economic cooperation,” the ministry said.

As BelTA reported earlier, the ambassador of Jordan together with the heads of other foreign diplomatic missions presented their credentials to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of state noted that Belarus hopes for the ambassador's assistance to businessmen in establishing and expanding ties in industry, food industry, and agriculture. The president believes that there are good chances to deepen economic contacts between the two countries.
