Belarus hopes for continuity in French foreign policy

MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Belarus hopes there will be no changes in the French foreign policy in respect to foreign partners as the new president has taken office, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told the media on 19 May, BelTA has learned.

France is one of Belarus' key partners in Europe. According to the minister, Belarus views its cooperation with all the European countries, including Germany, Italy, and the UK, as equally important.

Vladimir Makei expressed confidence that the new president of France will ensure the continuity of the country's foreign policy. “We aim for a constructive dialogue with France and the EU in general,” Vladimir Makei stressed.
