Belarus, Czechia to step up cooperation between foreign ministries

MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – Consultations between representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs took place in Prague, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko while the Czech delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Jakub Durr.

The sides confirmed mutual interest in stepping up contacts between the Belarusian and Czech ministries of foreign affairs. The sides agreed further practical steps to advance the contacts. The state and prospects of Belarusian-Czech relations in politics, trade, and economy, interaction within the framework of international organizations were discussed.

Humanitarian cooperation and the situation in the region were also high on the agenda.

The most topical items on the bilateral agenda were also mentioned as the head of the Belarusian delegation met with Czech Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Stropnicky.
