Belarus, Colombia outline ways to expand interstate dialogue

MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – The prospects of the Belarusian-Colombian cooperation in various areas were discussed during a working visit of Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov to Colombia on 12-14 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian deputy minister held political consultations with Colombia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Patti Londono on 12 February. The parties discussed the prospects of the Belarusian-Colombian cooperation in the political, trade, economic, sci-tech, educational, humanitarian and other sectors, outlined joint steps to expand interstate dialogue and also considered the priority issues on the international agenda.

Evgeny Shestakov also met with representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the export and investment promotion agency Procolombia, and the National Infrastructure Agency. The sides talked over the ways to increase the mutual trade, Belarus' participation in the implementation of Colombia's agricultural projects, road construction and other sectors.
