Belarus attending Council of Europe's meeting on public international law

MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – Belarus is taking part in a session of the Council of Europe's Committee of Legal Advisers on Public International Law, BelTA learned from Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Participants of the session are expected to discuss problems of resolving disputes between natural persons and legal persons and international organizations, discuss the immunity of state property, the legal status of special missions sent by countries, the international humanitarian law, the fulfillment of the Council of Europe's conventions and other topical aspects of the application of international law.

The session of the Council of Europe's Committee of Legal Advisers on Public International Law is scheduled to take place in Strasbourg, France on 23-24 March. Andrei Metelitsa, Head of the Central Office for Treaties and Legal Affairs of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is taking part in the session. Participation in the Committee's work will be used to inform representatives of the participating countries and structural divisions of the Council of Europe about Belarus' approaches to the abovementioned matters.

Apart from that, there are plans to discuss matters relating to the implementation of programs and projects, which are implemented together with experts of the Council of Europe in order to create preconditions for the effective implementation and assimilation of the Council of Europe's conventional standards and other ones into the national legal system of Belarus.
