Zalaty wins 2025 Great Moscow Regatta men’s single sculls

MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes won 14 medals on the second competition day of the 64th Great Moscow Regatta – Best Athletes Cup, BelTA has learned.

On 6 June, the Belarusian rowers graced the podium following 11 types of the program and winning 14 medals (4-7-3). Newly crowned European champion Yauheni Zalaty won the men's singles sculls, while Tatsiana Klimovich and Alena Furman took second and third places respectively in the women’s event. Raman Shabatsko clinched victory in the men’s U23 single sculls, and Tatsiana Protasevich secured silver in the women’s U23 event. Silver medals went to Daniil Talyko and Viktoriya Goloskok in the U19 events.

Dzmitry Furman and Siarhei Valadzko clinched silver in the men’s double sculls.  Aliaksei Bandziuk and Uladzislau Lokun came in third. In the same class in juniors Raman Mamaeu and Mikita Alferovich won bronze in the men’s U23 double sculls. Kira Kavalenka and Diyana Plisava took silver in the women’s event. Dzmitry Yankin and Anatoly Mikhalko won the men’s U19 event. Zakhar Semionau and Vadim Karpechenka placed second. The women’s U19 gold went to Uladzislava Karzhova and Uladzislava Kuzmiankova.

The 64th Great Moscow Regatta — Best Athletes Cup will be over on 8 june. Competing at the rowing channel are about 1,300 athletes from 12 countries: Russia, Belarus, Iran, Cuba, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Serbia, UAE, Pakistan, India and Azerbaijan.
